The young Anisha Zoya belongs to a middle class family living in Lahore.  Anisha was a bright student and had high aims in life but she never knew something dreadful was going to block her way to success. She used to live in a hostel. Anisha’s Aunt wanted Anisha to be married to her son and also suggested that there was no need to study further.  The proposal was refused which caused a severe dispute and animosity between the two families.

Anisha continued her studies and lived in the hostel. Anisha’s Aunt planned to avenge the rejection. With the help of the hostel warden she entered the hostel room. When they opened and entered the room anisha was in the bathroom. Taking advantage of the situation, they threw kerosene oil on the floor and set her room on fire. When Anisha opened the door she was      dazzled with the fire exposure. She was helpless and tried to escape the room. Unfortunately, her face, arms and chest got badly burnt in the incident. She was taken to nearby hospital by the hostel mates for emergency services. Her family wanted to report the case to the police but was pressurized by her aunt to hold back the F.I.R.

Anisha got registered with DSF in 2011 and went through multiple surgeries. As her health showed improvement, she was supported to complete a beautician training course. She was provided a job and worked at Depilex Salon to earn a livelihood. In 2017, she was married. Recently, she gave birth to a baby girl and is living a happy life with her husband and daughter.
