We congratulate our brave survivor Anum Shahzadi for her wedding. Anum is receiving gift amount for her wedding from Masarrat Misbah.
*Anum Shazadi*, a 17 year old, in an urge of becoming a hafiza Quran from
Jamia Institute. On the morning of 17th March 2011 in Gujranwala, She was
victimized with an acid attack while she was coming back from school with
her father. The unfortunate event damaged left side of Anum face, arms
and legs. As Anum was rushed to the hospital to receive initial treatment
the nurses referred her to Depilex Smile again Foundation.
Masarrat Misbah welcomed her in her usual smiling way and assured all
support. “I felt so good and reassured after meeting madam Masarrat. DSF
arranged a series of surgeries for me and gradually I am coming back in
shape. For my rehabilitation I was provided shelter and offered a training
course to become a beautician. I am presently working with Depilex. Someday
I hope to return back home and open my own beauty parlor in Gujranwala”.
Anum is now happily married with the help of DSF and the grace of God. She
is full of hope and determined to build a promising future for herself.
