Dr Mohammad Ali Jawad, Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive, Cosmetic and Burns Surgeon UK, is a long standing volunteer supporter of DSF. With vast knowledge and experience in burns reconstruction, he regularly visits Pakistan and devotes his valuable time for check up and surgeries to treat acid burn victims.
During his recent visit, DSF arranged a medical camp at National Hospital, Lahore to facilitate check up of acid burn patients registered with the Foundation. 16 victims from different areas of Punjab were called for the check up. The patients’ history was noted and each patient was given individual attention. This procedure facilitated the short listing of patients for surgeries during his next visit.
DSF provides medical treatment to victims without distinction of cast, creed or religion. However, the priority list for treatment is recommended by the doctor/consultant according to the urgency and severity of the damage caused by burns.
