Spanish News Agency Correspondent in Pakistan, Pau Miranda contacted DSF to develop organizational story highlighting activities in helping acid burn survivors. Pau came to know about DSF through friends in UN. The object was to evolve a story of this activity so people from other parts of the world can be aware not only about the gender based violence problem but also about initiatives trying to cope with it in Pakistan.
The story was videoed in DSF office starting with introduction of DSF team at work. Masarrat Misbah highlighted the organizational Mission and later took the recording team to the Depilex Beauty Clinic where the DSF trained acid survivors were at work with customers as beauticians. It was explained that after required medical treatment and due psycho-social support the survivors are provided vocational training according to their education, aptitude and socio-cultural background.
