Jinnah University for Women Karachi is a renowned institute imparting quality education into diversified faculties. Faculty of Commerce plays its role in the economic development of Pakistan by carving the skills of students to become successful business women of the future.
The Department of Commerce organized an event “Creative Business Females” to discuss ways and means to develop and enhance entrepreneurial skills of the students. Masarrat Misbah being an entrepreneurial icon was invited as chief guest.
She walked through the entrepreneurial stalls of the young females and appreciated the various skills on display. In the end of the session speech she shared her experiences with the young girls, “Despite some odd experiences, I don’t believe being a woman has held me back or altered my chance of success. Being a successful business woman really comes down to personality. I have always been independent, confident and determined to succeed. And whenever I meet other female entrepreneurs, they share similar characteristics”.
She further elaborated that “Starting a business is one thing, keeping it going is entirely another matter. To be a successful businesswoman, you have to be persistent and never give up. A combination of self belief, willingness to learn, confidence and sense of purpose is the key to success. Remind yourself of all the things you’ve achieved. Continue the effort because the next best triumph could be just around the corner”.
The university management thanked Masarrat Misbah for her presence in the event and announced scholarships for acid victims if they wish to enhance their educational pursuits. In addition job placement for acid victims according to their qualifications/aptitude was also offered as a continuous support to DSF cause.
