DSF team comprising Masarrat Misbah President, Ayesha Taslim Director Program and Aliya Khan External Relations Manager participated in the Launching Ceremony of TABA Foundation held on 6th October 2012, at LUMS.
The foundation coordinates the efforts of over 50 member NGOs working to serve humanity through various activities within their area of expertise. TABA name and Moto is derived from Quranic Ayat:
…..and support each other in the act of kindness and good deeds. (Surah Almaida2)
Masarrat Misbah highlighted the activities of DSF and shared that 500 acid burn victims have been registered out of which over 200 have been successfully treated through reconstructive surgery. Many survivors have been rehabilitated after receiving vocational training. She urged the collaborating partners to refer any burn cases from their respective areas and DSF will take care of their treatment, shelter, training and rehabilitation.
