DSF was invited to participate in the “Mela” organized by APWA Punjab & FPCCI Women Empowerment & Development Committee to mark 16 days of Activism; International Campaign to Eliminate Violence against Women. The event was held in the APWA youth college. The chosen theme was “From Peace in the Home to Peace in the World: Make Education Safe for All. During the “Mela” competitions were held for singing, debate, photography, art, craft, and painting. The young students created thought provoking posters and items. Ayesha Taslim participated in the closing ceremony. Chief guest Shaista Pervaiz Malik distributed prizes and certificates to the winners qualifying in various competitions. She highlighted the importance of education for girls and advocacy of women’s rights.
