Margaret Heera

Margaret Heera from Lahore is another victim of violence. Margaret was ill treated by her husband and in laws for not bringing enough dowry. One day when her husband asked to bring money from her parents she refused on which her husband locked Margaret in a room, spread kerosene oil and lit fire on her. Her body was severely burnt in this tragic incidence.

She got registered with DSF in 2015 and has gone through multiple surgeries since then. She has also completed beauty course and works as hair stylist in Depilex Salon in Lahore. Her son is also provided educational assistance.

DSF also provided legal assistance through networking, as a result of which the culprit got 50 years of imprisonment.
