Munira bibi was proposed simultaneously by two of her cousins. She was married off to one of them. On the third day after her marriage as she was coming to visit her parents the other cousin who was very angry for being turned down, threw acid on her. Her face, neck and arms were burnt and she also lost an eye permanently.
Depilex Smileagain Foundation took her case up. On her operation check up it was diagnosed that she was also suffering from Hepatitis C. She has been treated for that too and is still under medication.
