Noreen Jabbar

Noreen Jabbar lives in Lahore with her 3 daughters. Her husband was unemployed and kept asking for money from her parents. His violent behavior and everyday quarrels resulted in divorce between them.

After 3 months of divorce Noreen was on the way to school to drop her children. Her husband followed and suddenly jumped in front and threw acid on her.  Half her face was severely burnt and the vision from left eye was damaged permanently. The acid splashes also hit one of the daughters. She was registered with DSF in 2014. Since then, she has undergone multiple surgeries.  As her health showed improvement she was supported to complete beautician training course. DSF provided a small salon setup at her home. She is happily serving her neighborhood to earn a livelihood for her children. DSF also provided legal assistance through networking, as a result of which the culprit got 14 years imprisonment.
