During the holy month of Ramadan, DSF launched a carefully planned advocacy campaign to help raise funds for the burnt victims. This included a TVC which was produced by DSF and was aired by leading TV channels as a gesture of goodwill and social responsibility. Liaison was also maintained by the marketing team to enable participation of DSF team in various Ramadan special live shows on leading TV channels.

PTV morning show ‘Subh-e-Nau’ was a one hour session anchored by Asma. The DSF team comprised Masarrat Misbah,Hajra Asghar, Nasreen Sharif, Summi Khalid, Sabra Sultana and Hajra Asghar. The acid victims narrated their tragic stories. Hajra Asghar shared that two years back when the sad incident took place her son was two years of age. It was difficult for her to take care of the child but because of the sympathetic attitude and support of her husband the family was able to pull through hard times. The live callers were highly appreciative and reiterated that the supportive role of male was of utmost importance in family life specially while facing such tragedies.
