Saira Bano is a middle aged woman living in Karachi. She is married and a mother of two children. Her husband works as a driver and she also supports him with additional livelihood by working as a cleaner in the neighbourhood. One day she went to the rooftop to check the water level of the tank. She had a match stick in her hand. When she lit a match stick to check the water level, the tank exploded and Saira Bano got burnt. She was taken to the hospital by her husband for emergency services. Her face, chest, hands and legs were burnt severely. Later her husband contacted DSF and Saira Bano was registered in 2015. Since then she has gone through a number of surgeries. Since almost 50% of her body got severe injuries and bruises Saira Bano still requires further surgeries to heal the deep scars on her legs, chest and hands. For this we urge your support.
