Throughout the holy month of Ramadan, Masarrat Misbah, President DSF, was invited by various TV channels to participate in Ramadan transmissions. She took this opportunity to shed light on the plight of burn victims and DSF’s relentless efforts in facilitating their treatment and rehabilitation. Through these platforms, Masarrat Misbah passionately advocated for awareness and support, generated hope and solidarity among viewers for those enduring the unimaginable pain of burn injuries. In a collaborative initiative, Medicine DE Monde, Jinnah Burn Hospital, and Depilex Smileagain Foundation joined to provide comprehensive support to burn survivors. As part of this initiative, a group session was organized at Jinnah Burn Hospital, where survivors received essential medical treatment and psychosocial support. Together, these organizations are paving the path towards healing and empowerment for those affected by burn injuries.

Ministry of Human Rights organised a Workshop to discuss and assess the actions taken by the stakeholders for the implementation of SDG goal 6,7: Clean Water and Sanitation, and Affordable and Clean Energy. These are 2 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015. The Goals are to be achieved by 2030.

A Conference on Climate Change and Green Sustainability was held in LUMS auditorium. The speakers discussed SDG 13: Urgent action to combat climate change and its impact through ECO system Revival. Ayesha Taslim represented DSF and emphasised the need to adopt preventive measures alongside the curative. She reiterated that while it is important to grow more trees it is equally important to save the existing forests.

Daud Global Fund’s support to the Depilex Smileagain Foundation manifested in the ‘Educate a Girl’ project, a beacon of hope for 100 young girls. Recently, Tara Daud, representing Daud Global Fund, visited the foundation to meet two beneficiaries of this transformative initiative. Their encounter symbolized the impact of education and the enduring partnership between organizations dedicated to empowering girls and transforming lives.
