In the afternoon, friends of DSF, celebrities, media and civil society representatives joined the acid burn survivors for a walk to condemn “Violence against Women”. The participants held placards and slogans saying; ‘No to Violence’, ‘Stop Violence against Women’, ‘Punish the Abusers’, ‘Strict Compliance of Law’.
Mr. Habib Gilani, Managing Director, Punjab Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) was invited as a special guest to join the event. He provided DSF two vehicles on behalf of Govt. of Punjab as a good will gesture to support Acid Burn survivors. He joined in the walk to condemn Violence Against Women.
The evening ended with a train ride through four kilometers of Safari Park. The participants greatly enjoyed taking pictures of animals roaming freely in the woods and birds floating in the pond.
